What is the difference between rotating and flipping an image?
Rotating turns an image around a central pivot point (e.g. a 90-degree turn moves the top edge to the right edge). Flipping creates a mirror reflection across an axis. A horizontal flip swaps the left and right sides of the image, which also reverses any readable text inside the photo.
Will flipping degrade the quality of my image?
No. Our flipper loads the image into a high-performance 2D Canvas context at its exact original dimensions, executes the scale(-1, 1) transform, and exports it back. No re-sampling or filtering is applied, maintaining pristine pixel-level crispness.
Does this tool support transparent PNG backgrounds?
Yes, absolutely. The canvas alpha channel is completely preserved during the transform. Your transparent PNG, SVG, or WebP logos are flipped seamlessly without turning their backdrops black or white.
Can I flip multiple photos in batch?
Yes! You can queue multiple files into the SimplyUtils dashboard, choose independent axes for each asset, and download the finished images with a single click.
Secure Image Processing: SimplyUtils handles all rendering operations strictly in your browser memory. We never upload your images to our server, protecting your absolute privacy.
